this is only the 2nd time ordering from Godiva
the first time i ordered from these people , they really packaged my item very carefully, because it was in the summer time, so they packed it in ice, and insulated it…..well this order, they did THE SAME THING, so i see that every package is taken care of when its shipped from their factory, they take the time to see that the chocolates reach my house UNmelted, and that they did, even though its winter time right now , i still live in florida….i ordered the 22 piece for my girlfriend, i ordered it before the holiday rush, ill just keep it in my outside freezer til feb 14th…she said she loved the chocolates i got her last time, so there was no doubt, i was going to Godiva again, this holiday, and my food stamps covered the price of the chocolates….ty Godiva, i will be ordering from you in the future, 😉

I love dark chocolate
I was disappointed they didn’t include any nut candies. The flavor was great. I only gave 4 stars because even though it was good dark chocolates, I don’t think it was worth $40. I appreciated that even though it was hot August, the ice packs were still cold and kept the candies from melting.

Perfect Valentines Day sweets, Best mixed dark chocolates for the price
I buy two boxes of these for Valentines Day, because my husband and I love dark chocolates. Godiva quickly ships these with enough padding, in cold aluminum packing with an ice pack. My package arrived with ice pack intact and the chocolates in perfect condition.These chocolates are always fresh and delicious with a satisfying dark chocolate flavor. There are more caramels than I like, but I’ve found that this Godiva mixed darks are excellent for the price.

Godiva Ain’t Godiva Anymore …BUYER BEWARE !!!
I hate to be a Debbie Downer. It’s a dirty job but somebody’s got to do it.I’ll preface this by saying that I used to love Godiva chocolates. That’s in the Way-Back, when they had small shops in most malls, and you could custom-select your order. Expensive? UBER !!!! But, like, TOTALLY worth it.I used it as a small reward/inducement/personal bribe, and it worked beautifully.Based on this, my husband bought me a box for Christmas, hoping to surprize me both with the chocolates, and with the possibility that he actually listens to me from time to time.Sadly, and I say this with deepest regret, Godiva Chocolates are total crap. The fillings are virtually flavorless, the chocolate itself can only be likened to real Belgian chocolate if you stretch the borders of Belgium into, say, Russia. The chocolates themselves are less than half the size of what they used to be, which given their quality, may not be a bad thing.In this sorry, seething world, losing something that used to be truly great is always a bummer, but truth is truth.I have no idea why anyone buys these any more. Frankly, See’s or a Whitman Sampler (they used to make a lovely, large box of dark chocolate selections) is infinitely better and will save you enough money to put your dog or cat thru charm school.APPROACH GODIVA WITH ADJUSTED EXPECTATIONS AND CAUTION !!!

I have to admit, I was pretty nervous about the quality of these after reading some of the reviews, but they were fresh and delicious and just like you’d find them in the store. It probably helps that I got these in the winter and I’m not sure how they’d do in hotter months, but they were perfect as a gift for valentine’s day. I would definitely buy them again.

Not safe to eat
I bought this gift box for a friend’s birthday and when she bit into the Lady Godiva piece there was this shard of plastic (she said it appeared to be broken off from a plastic form which holds the chocolates) inside of the candy. Please be very careful with this brand of chocolates. I know I will never buy Godiva chocolate of any kind ever again.
